Petroleum Pipeline Corporation (BOTAS) announced a 38% increase in natural gas prices for households, effective from Aug. 1.

The wholesale price for household consumption has surged by 38%, according to the tariff table published on the BOTAS website. Additionally, free consumers with an annual consumption of up to 300,000 cubic meters, excluding electricity production, will face a 33.1% price hike.

There is no change in the wholesale price of natural gas used for electricity production or free consumers with annual natural gas consumption of more than 300,001 cubic meters, excluding electricity production.

For industrial subscribers, the tariff has been set at ₺8,549 ($257.8) per 1,000 cubic meters of natural gas for the first tier and ₺11,380 for the second tier. Natural gas used for electricity production will be priced at ₺12,000 per 1,000 cubic meters.
