Türkiye has emerged as the global leader in personal wealth growth, according to the “2024 Global Wealth Report” by Swiss banking giant UBS.

The report highlights Türkiye’s remarkable growth in personal wealth, with an increase of 157.78% in TL terms and 63.2% in dollar terms, placing Türkiye at the top in both categories.

Global competitors

Following Türkiye in personal wealth growth are Qatar and Russia, with South Africa and Israel also showing significant increases. The report notes that between 2008 and 2023, Türkiye achieved an average wealth growth of 1708% in TL terms, outperforming Kazakhstan and Russia.

Rise in dollar millionaires

The future looks bright for Türkiye’s wealthy. Over the next 5 years, the number of dollar millionaires in Türkiye is expected to rise by 43%, from 60,787 to 87,077.

This projected increase underscores Türkiye’s position as one of the fastest-growing nations in terms of personal wealth.
