Azerbaijani parliament approves agreement on prevention of double taxation with Türkiye

The National Assembly of Azerbaijan approves the agreement aimed at preventing double taxation and tax evasion between Türkiye and Azerbaijan

The National Assembly of Azerbaijan has approved the ‘Agreement for the Prevention of Double Taxation and Prevention of Tax Evasion and Avoidance on Income Taxes between the Government of the Republic of Türkiye and the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan.’

During the plenary session of the National Assembly, the agreement signed between Türkiye and Azerbaijan regarding the prevention of double taxation and prevention of tax evasion and avoidance on income taxes was discussed.

The agreement was put to a vote and approved.

The agreement was before signed in Ankara on Feb. 19, with the presence of Presidents Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Ilham Aliyev, by the Minister of Treasury and Finance Mehmet Simsek and the Minister of Economy of Azerbaijan Mikail Jabbarov.
