Turkish security forces eliminate a senior PKK member, Rojda Bilen, in northern Iraq, who joined the terror group in 2011

Turkish security sources reported that the Turkish intelligence agency has eliminated one of the alleged senior members of the PKK terror group in northern Iraq.

The National Intelligence Organization of Türkiye conducted a cross-border anti-terror operation aimed at apprehending Rojda Bilen, also known as Biseng Brusk, described as a coordinator for the terror group in Sulaymaniyah, Iraq.

Sources, speaking on the condition of anonymity because of media restrictions, disclosed that the operation resulted in the elimination of the terrorist in a rural area of Sulaymaniyah.

Bilen, who joined the terror group in 2011, was sought for affiliation with an armed terrorist organization.

According to sources, she was categorized as “blue,” denoting the second-highest level of wanted terrorists.

PKK militants frequently seek refuge in northern Iraq to plan and execute cross-border attacks into Türkiye.

The PKK, recognized as a terrorist organization by Türkiye, the U.S. and the European Union, has waged a terror campaign for over 35 years.

During this period, it has been held responsible for the deaths of over 40,000 individuals, including women, children and infants.
