President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on the first anniversary of the ongoing Gaza conflict, accused Israel of committing “genocide” and vowed that it would eventually pay the price for its actions.

In his statement on social media, Erdogan highlighted the loss of lives in Gaza, stating that “50,000 of our brothers and sisters, most of them women and children, were brutally murdered 365 days ago.”

He also condemned the destruction of hospitals, places of worship and schools in Gaza.

“Just as Hitler was stopped by an alliance of humanity, Netanyahu and his network of murderers will be stopped in the same way,” Erdogan said, drawing a direct comparison between the Israeli Prime Minister and the Nazi leader.

Global call for action

Erdogan expressed his condolences to the people of Gaza, Palestine, and Lebanon, mourning the loss of innocent lives and criticizing the international system for failing to prevent such violence. He also urged the international community to take action against Israel‘s policies of “genocide, occupation and invasion.”

“A world that fails to hold Israel accountable for the genocide in Gaza will never find peace,” he warned, adding that Türkiye would continue to stand against the Israeli government, regardless of the cost.

Video message shared

Erdogan also shared a video marking the anniversary, featuring messages in Turkish, English, Arabic and Hebrew, stating: “The genocide committed by Israel is killing Palestinians. The genocide committed by Israel is killing humanity.”
