The Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) has released new data revealing the cities with the highest and lowest crime rates in Türkiye.

The report lists the top 10 cities where crime rates are the highest and lowest, based on the number of crimes per 100,000 people.

Aydin records highest crime rate in Türkiye

According to TUIK, Aydin has the highest crime rate in Türkiye, with 970 crimes per 100,000 residents. Other cities with high crime rates include Denizli with 902 per 100,000, Corum with 871 and Antalya with 847.

Here is the complete list of the top 10 cities with the highest crime rates:

  1. Aydin: 970 per 100,000
  2. Denizli: 902 per 100,000
  3. Corum: 871 per 100,000
  4. Antalya: 847 per 100,000
  5. Aksaray: 838 per 100,000
  6. Karaman: 836 per 100,000
  7. Manisa: 834 per 100,000
  8. Isparta: 828 per 100,000
  9. Izmir: 801 per 100,000
  10. Usak: 801 per 100,000

Adiyaman records lowest crime rate

On the other end of the spectrum, Adiyaman has the lowest crime rate in the country, with only 156 crimes per 100,000 people.

Other cities with notably low crime rates include Sirnak with 159 per 100,000, Bitlis and Siirt, both reporting 175 per 100,000.
