Former U.S. President and Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump stated that maintaining good relations with Russia and North Korea is “good and wise.”

During a rally in Pennsylvania, Trump referenced Democratic candidate Kamala Harris’s comments, where she claimed she would not get close to dictators, unlike Trump.

Recalling his 2019 meeting with Kim Jong-un in the demilitarized zone between North and South Korea, Trump noted that he briefly stepped into North Korean territory.

He argued he had a “good understanding” with Kim and asserted that getting along with countries like North Korea and Russia is beneficial and sensible.

On Aug. 23, U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris criticized Trump, stating: “I will not show closeness to tyrants and dictators like Kim Jong-un who support Trump, because they know how to manipulate through undue flattery and favoritism.”
