Former Israeli captive Noa Argamani denies torture claims

Noa Argamani, a former Israeli captive, has refuted reports claiming she was tortured during her time in Gaza, clarifying that she was injured by an Israeli airstrike instead.

Israeli media had alleged that Argamani, while speaking at a meeting in Tokyo, Japan, stated she was tortured while held captive.

However, after these reports spread quickly, Argamani took to social media to issue a written statement denying the claims.

“I was not beaten, nor was my hair cut. I was in a building struck by the Israeli Air Force. I wasn’t beaten, but I did say, ‘I sustained injuries all over my body from the building collapsing on me after it was bombed,'” she explained.

Argamani expressed her frustration with the false reports, stating: “I am a victim of the Oct. 7 incident, and I reject being victimized again by the Israeli media.”
