Gaziantep’s Muzeyyen Erkul Science Center, the largest scientific hub in the Southeastern Anatolia Region, will host a series of astronomy events for space and aviation enthusiasts.

The festival, organized in collaboration between Gaziantep Metropolitan Municipality and the Ministry of Industry and Technology, aims to engage citizens interested in space and aviation through various astronomy-related activities.

The 4007 Science Festivals Support Program will host the event from Aug. 23 to 25.

The event aims to stimulate curiosity in science and technology, bolster science education, foster a culture of science and improve scientific literacy.

The festival will feature two main components: daytime workshops and a nighttime observation event.

Daytime workshops will run from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. across nine different stations, while the nighttime observation events will take place from 8:30 p.m. to 2:30 a.m.

The Science Center will host the first and third nights of the observation, while Rumkale will host the second night.
