President Recep Tayyip Erdogan is set to depart for the United States tomorrow to participate in the NATO summit, where he will hold bilateral meetings with other leaders.

A primary focus of Erdogan’s agenda will be the Israeli attacks on Gaza. He plans to urge Western leaders to pressure Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for a cease-fire in Gaza.

On July 10, Erdogan will attend the meeting of heads of state and government of the 32-member alliance.

In the evening, he will join country leaders and their spouses at a dinner hosted by U.S. President Joe Biden at the White House.

The agenda for Thursday includes the NATO-Ukraine Council meeting. Erdogan is expected to propose the revival of the Black Sea Grain Initiative and offer Türkiye’s mediation between Russia and Ukraine.

Throughout the summit, Erdogan will hold various bilateral meetings with leaders. Before departing from Washington, he will host a press conference to address the outcomes of the summit.
