The British Museum’s forthcoming exhibition “Legion: Life in the Roman Army” will narrate the story of the Roman soldier from recruitment to retirement through objects that document the everyday life of people under Roman occupation.

These documents include papyrus letters written by soldiers in Roman Egypt, imperial armor and tablets unearthed near Hadrian’s wall: Life in the Roman Army” exhibition.

The brass armor will be exhibited at the National Museum of Scotland after the exhibition.
