A local Super Bowl commercial featuring Kanye West took an unsettling turn Sunday night as the rapper’s website underwent a dramatic transformation hours later, followed by his abrupt departure from social media.
The series of events began at 7:35 p.m. EST when West’s self-recorded iPhone advertisement aired exclusively in the Los Angeles market during Super Bowl LVIII. In the lo-fi spot, West appeared in a dentist’s chair wearing sunglasses and a blue hoodie.
“I spent all the money for the commercial on these new teeth,” West said in the brief advertisement before hesitating and adding, “Um… um… go to yeezy.com.”

Initially, the website displayed West’s standard Yeezy merchandise collection. The situation took a disturbing turn around 12:47 a.m. EST on Feb. 10, when the website’s inventory was completely replaced with a single item: a t-shirt featuring a swastika symbol, priced at $20.

The controversial website change coincided with West’s disappearance from social media. Shortly after 12:47 a.m. EST, West’s X (formerly Twitter) account was deactivated. The timing of these events followed a series of posts where West had made several antisemitic statements, including declaring “I’m a Nazi” and praising Hitler as “so fresh.”

The dental setting of the Super Bowl advertisement gained additional context from allegations made last year by West’s former chief of staff, Milo Yiannopoulos.
According to Yiannopoulos, a celebrity dentist had allegedly gotten West addicted to nitrous oxide while attempting to “extract millions of dollars from him.” Yiannopoulos had previously shared screenshots of group texts between himself, West, and the dentist showing exchanges about nitrous oxide use.
This isn’t West’s first Super Bowl local advertising venture. During last year’s game, he aired a similar local advertisement for yeezy.com, though it wasn’t broadcast in either New York or Los Angeles markets.
The Anti-Defamation League and American Jewish Committee have condemned West’s recent social media posts, which included statements such as “he loves when Jewish people come to me and say they can’t work with me.” West has explicitly stated he is “never apologizing for my Jewish comments.”
