Venezuelan President Maduro claims Maradona was killed, alleges political motives behind death
Venezuelan President Maduro says Maradona was killed because of his remarks against fascism, linking it to ‘fascists and Zionist’ Argentine President Javier Milei
Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro made remarks about Diego Maradona during an episode of the “Maduro Podcast” program at the Monumental Stadium in the capital Caracas, where he discussed current issues, including Argentinian politics.
Claiming that everything was planned for “fascism” to come to power in Argentina, Maduro said:
“I have a thesis regarding his death, I believe Maradona was killed. One day before his death, on the occasion of his 60th birthday, I spoke with him and said, ‘Diego, come to Venezuela, we will take care of you here.'”
Expressing his concerns about Maradona’s life, Maduro stated, “In a previous conversation, I told him, ‘Take care of yourself, Diego. Look, there are very bad people, because you were the voice of the people rebelling against injustice, fascists won’t leave you alone. You said things in Argentina that no one dared to say.'”
Maduro also recalled an assassination attempt against former Argentine President Cristina Kirchner, saying, “They carried out operations to put an end to Argentina’s symbols. First they ended Diego, I’m sure of it. Then they wanted to end Cristina, they were going to kill her live on air.”
“Fascism and Zionism came to power in Argentina with Milei”
Criticizing Argentine President Javier Milei, Maduro said, “I have to say something, fascism and Zionism came to power in Argentina with Milei.
Milei says, ‘I will do everything to subject Venezuela to sanctions, besiege it, and defeat it.’ I say to him, ‘How many people are there like you?'”
President Maduro expressed his belief that the truth about Maradona will one day come to light and that fascism will be defeated in Argentina once again.
