Ukraine launches drone attack on Russia, 1 child killed
Russian officials reported that Ukraine launched an attack involving 144 drones on Russian territory, including the capital, Moscow, resulting in the death of a child.
According to a statement from the Russian Ministry of Defense, Ukraine attempted to attack Russian sites using drones.
The ministry reported that 144 drones were shot down by Russian air defense systems, with 20 of them intercepted over the Moscow region.
Moscow Regional Governor Andrey Vorobyov confirmed that a child was killed and four others were injured when a drone struck an apartment building in the region.
The Russian Federal Aviation Agency (Rosaviatsiya) also announced that flights at Moscow airports were temporarily restricted to ensure the safety of civilian aircraft.
