President Erdogan will chair a Cabinet meeting on Tuesday at the Presidential Complex focusing on regulating pensions and counterterrorism efforts.
The upcoming Cabinet meeting will address the expected salary increase for millions of pensioners. Coordinated by Vice President Cevdet Yilmaz, the relevant ministries’ efforts for comprehensive pension regulation, including the lowest pension, will also be on the agenda. The finalized regulation is expected to be submitted to Parliament soon.
Additionally, the Cabinet will deliberate on measures to combat both inflation and price increases. The meeting will assess the impact of the Central Bank’s monetary tightening measures and review the current reserve situation.
The meeting will also address Turkiye’s counterterrorism operations, including decisions from the recent security summit in Istanbul. Ongoing efforts against the PKK in Syria, northern Iraq, and Turkiye will be discussed.
Additionally, the agenda will cover Israel’s actions in Palestine, Turkiye’s diplomatic initiatives for a Gaza cease-fire, and heightened tensions in the Red Sea.
