Turkish Armed Forces destroy 78 targets, eliminate 77 terrorists

TSK destroyed 78 targets comprising caves, shelters and oil facilities and eliminated 77 terrorists with air strikes in Iraq and northern Syria, says National Defense Minister Yasar Guler

Several facilities belonging to terrorists were destroyed and 77 terrorists were eliminated in air strikes carried out by the Turkish Armed Forces (TSK) in Iraq and northern Syria, Minister of National Defence Yasar Guler said during a meeting with Turkish commanders Monday.

“A total of 78 targets including caves, bunkers, shelters and oil facilities, which were used by the separatist terrorist organization and which were believed to contain terrorists at a responsible level, were destroyed with air strikes in Metina, Hakurk, Gara, Qandil regions in northern Iraq and northern Syria. A total of 77 terrorists were eliminated,” Guler said.

The minister was informed about the ongoing activities, especially the counterterrorism operations, and gave instructions regarding the activities to be carried out.

“Our fight against terrorism will continue with increasing tempo until there is not a single terrorist left. No one should have any doubt about this,” he maintained.

“As a result, our fight against terrorism will continue with increasing pressure and tempo with the concept of destroying terrorism at its source against all terrorist organizations, especially terrorist organization PKK, and with an offensive spirit, until there is not a single terrorist left in the country and beyond the border,” the minister added.
