Donald Trump’s transition to the White House

On Jan. 20, President Joe Biden will officially hand over the reins of the White House to the newly elected president, Donald Trump. Amid the transition, changes are being made to the White House’s decor, with Melania Trump, soon to be First Lady once again, selecting new furniture and household items for the upper floors where the First Family will reside.

Reflecting on the changes, Melania Trump stated that the layout from four years ago will largely remain intact, with only minor adjustments.

“There will be a few changes, not too many. I’ve already sorted out the furniture that needs to come in. I’m feeling more prepared for this transition,” she shared.

Towels made in Denizli: Mark of prestige

The towels for the White House are being produced in Denizli, one of Türkiye’s and the world’s leading centers for textiles and export. These specially designed towels, produced by Zorel Textile, were first revealed at the internationally renowned Heimtextil Fair in Germany.

The towels, embroidered with the White House emblem, are now ready for shipment to the U.S.

Important step for Denizli and Türkiye’s textile industry

Veysel Akcay, the export and marketing manager of Zorel Textile, emphasized the significance of this order for Denizli and Türkiye. He remarked, “This will be a landmark event at the fair.

Donald Trump, the newly elected President of the United States, will use towels that were produced right here in Denizli. We brought one of these towels to the Heimtextil Fair, where it features the official emblem of the White House. We have already completed production, and the towels will be shipped to the U.S. next Monday.”

He also expressed hope for further collaboration with Trump’s properties, stating, “Donald Trump’s primary business sectors are construction, tourism, and hospitality.

After the White House, we hope to be involved in the towel production for his hotels as well. This is a remarkable development for us, as the prestige alone is invaluable. This signifies a major recognition for Denizli and adds value to the Türkiye and Turquality brands, which are now recognized globally.”

Global recognition for Turkish textiles

The production of official towels for the White House marks a prestigious moment for Denizli and Türkiye’s textile industry.

The event not only highlights the high quality of Turkish-made goods but also adds a prestigious international endorsement.

As the towels make their way to Washington, they stand as a symbol of Türkiye’s growing influence in the global textile market.
