Trump nominates retired General Keith Kellogg as Ukraine envoy
President-elect Donald Trump announced Wednesday the nomination of retired General Keith Kellogg as his special envoy for Ukraine, tasked with addressing the ongoing Russian invasion, which has spanned over two and a half years.
Kellogg, a staunch loyalist and key figure in Trump’s first administration, will also serve as Assistant to the President.
“I am very pleased to nominate General Keith Kellogg to serve as Assistant to the President and Special Envoy for Ukraine and Russia,” Trump said in a statement shared on social media. “Keith has led a distinguished military and business career, including serving in highly sensitive national security roles in my first administration.”
Kellogg’s appointment comes amid intensified efforts to find a resolution to the conflict between Ukraine and Russia.
