Trump criticizes Netanyahu, pledges continued support for Israel
Former U.S. President Donald Trump slams Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s handling of the situation in Gaza in an interview, expressing disappointment and accusing Netanyahu of ‘failure’
Former U.S. President Donald Trump criticized Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for what he sees as his poor handling of the situation in Gaza.
In an interview with Time magazine, Trump expressed his disappointment with Netanyahu’s handling of the conflict and blamed Netanyahu for the “failure” that resulted from the Hamas attacks on Oct. 7.
‘I’ll continue to support Israel if reelected’
Asked about the possibility of ending U.S. military support for Israel to end the war in Gaza, Trump said he would not rule out such action.
Trump blamed Hamas and Iran for the events of Oct. 7, claiming that such attacks would not have occurred if he were still president.
Trump highlighted his administration’s strong support for Israel during his presidency and pledged to continue this support uninterrupted if reelected.
Trump also criticized Israel’s public relations strategy during the conflict, saying the country had wrongly used its messaging by showing images of bombed-out buildings, possibly with people inside.
He argued that Israel lost the public relations battle because of its portrayal in the media.
