Top US diplomat Blinken to visit Saudi Arabia, Egypt for possible Gaza cease-fire

In his 6th visit to Middle East since Oct. 7, U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken will visit Saudi Arabia and Egypt to push for a potential Gaza cease-fire amid the ongoing crisis

U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken will hold talks in Saudi Arabia and Egypt for a possible cease-fire in Gaza.

During his visit to the Philippines, Blinken once again told reporters he would be heading to the Middle East.

Blinken stated that on Wednesday, he will visit Jeddah in Saudi Arabia and on Thursday, he will visit Cairo, the capital of Egypt, to find a solution to the ongoing crisis in Gaza and give momentum to the cease-fire talks.

In the process that began on Oct. 7, Blinken will make his sixth visit to the Middle East to engage in diplomatic discussions for regional peace.

Blinken did not make any comments regarding whether he will visit Israel or not.
