Switzerland’s flag carrier, Swiss International Air Lines (SWISS), and Italy’s flag carrier, ITA Airways, have announced the suspension of flights to and from Tel Aviv due to the escalating geopolitical situation in the Middle East.

SWISS suspended flights between Zurich and Tel Aviv until Aug. 8 due to concerns regarding the safety of passengers and crew. Additionally, SWISS has temporarily halted flights connecting Zurich and Beirut until Aug. 12. Impacted passengers have the option to either reschedule their travel for a future date or request a reimbursement.

ITA Airways has temporarily halted its flights to and from Tel Aviv until Aug. 6 due to safety concerns. The decision is in response to recent conflicts, including a strike in the Golan Heights, which is currently under Israeli occupation, that led to the loss of innocent lives.
