We cannot be accused of double standards that weaken our support for Ukraine. On the contrary, we demand the same unity and consistency against Russia’s invasion of Ukraine for Gaza

Sanchez further emphasized the significance of a consistent political stance with the public.

“It is crucial for our citizens to understand that we do not have double standards. If we support Ukraine because we defend international law, we must do the same in Gaza. If we demand respect for international law in Ukraine, we must demand the same respect in Gaza,” he stated.

NATO allies begin transfer of F-16 jets to Ukraine

Meanwhile, NATO allies announced the commencement of the long-promised transfer of F-16 jets to Ukraine during the Washington summit. President Joe Biden urged the 31 leaders of the alliance to match Russia’s increased military production since President Vladimir Putin’s invasion of Ukraine two years ago.

“We can – and will – defend every inch of NATO territory, and we’ll do it together,” Biden declared to the North Atlantic Council, the alliance’s formal decision-making body.

Ukraine is seeking firm assurances of future NATO membership, which considers an attack on any member an attack on all. Negotiations have reportedly settled on a statement supporting Ukraine’s “irreversible path to full Euro-Atlantic integration, including NATO membership.”
