Iraqi Shiite militia group Ketaib Hezbollah suspends military operations against U.S. forces, stating its commitment to supporting oppressed people of Gaza without external interference

Ketaib Hezbollah, a Shiite militia group in Iraq, announced the suspension of its military operations against U.S. forces. The announcement came through a written statement by Ketaib Hezbollah’s Secretary-General, Abu Hussein Himeydavi.

The statement emphasized Ketaib Hezbollah’s commitment to supporting the oppressed people of Gaza with determination and without external interference. It highlighted the decision to provide support independently and resolutely to the suffering people of Gaza.

The statement read, “Committed to our humanitarian and ideological duty, we have worked intelligently, thoughtfully, and carefully, considering legal and moral standards, even under the most difficult and challenging conditions. We announce the suspension of military operations against the occupying forces (United States). We will continue to defend our people in Gaza through alternative means.”

The statement also called upon Hezbollah militants to maintain a “passive defense” stance in case of any action by the U.S., urging adherence to humanitarian and moral principles.
