After Türkiye’s Akinci UAV successfully located wreckage of helicopter crash that killed Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi, debate over security concerns rise in Iran on topic of Türkiye’s involvement

Iranian authorities proceeded to the area identified by the AKINCI UAV and recovered the bodies of President Ebrahim Raisi and the accompanying delegation. Türkiye’s willingness to assist Iran and the success of the AKINCI UAV in its mission sparked debate within Iran.

Following the crash, Iran requested assistance from Türkiye when hours of search and rescue efforts yielded no results.

Akinci UAV, a notable product of the Turkish defense industry, successfully pinpointed the location of the helicopter wreckage, which Iranian authorities had been unable to locate due to adverse weather conditions.
