President Erdogan vows to continue supporting Palestine ‘under any condition’
Erdogan, in a parliamentary address, reaffirms Türkiye’s support for Palestine, criticizes Israel’s actions by likening them to Hitler and emphasizes the importance of supporting Palestinian children
In his recent speech to the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye, President Recep Tayyip Erdogan vehemently reiterated Türkiye’s unwavering support for Palestine, sharply criticizing Israel’s actions, which he compared to those of Hitler.
During his address, Erdogan passionately declared, “We know it is difficult to proclaim the truth in such challenging times but let the whole world know; we will not bow to assassination attempts, coup attempts, economic attacks or perception operations.”
“Even if I am left alone, as long as God grants me life, I will continue to defend the Palestinian struggle and be the voice of the oppressed Palestinian people,” the president asserted.
His address centered on the plight of Palestinians, particularly children, where he criticized those who favor Israel over Palestinian independence. He stated, “Israel has killed 14,000 children. These people have surpassed Hitler. Despite this, some try to curry favor with Israel by labeling Hamas a terrorist organization. We will courageously support Palestine’s struggle for independence under any condition.”
The president also discussed the outcomes of the recent local elections, asserting that the democratic process in Türkiye had triumphed despite low voter turnout. He emphasized the elections demonstrated the country’s democratic maturity: “Citizens freely expressed their will at the polls without any public order issues, thanks to the security measures we took.”
Erdogan praised the hard work and commitment of the AK Party’s volunteers and the enduring coalition with the Nationalist Movement Party (MHP), which he credits with safeguarding national security and unity. He remarked on the successes of their combined efforts, “Our alliance, as demonstrated in the last elections, continues to be the guarantee of Türkiye’s survival.”
The president also highlighted the resilience of regions affected by natural disasters, particularly focusing on Hatay, a city heavily impacted by recent earthquakes.
He committed to prioritizing rebuilding efforts in earthquake-stricken areas, ensuring that resources will be dedicated to their recovery. “From now on, our difference will be shown through our achievements and projects, especially in quickly reviving cities affected by earthquakes,” Erdogan stated.
