Planes collide twice at Boston airport ahead of Thanksgiving travel surge
Two separate plane collisions occurred at Boston’s Logan International Airport on Monday amid the busy Thanksgiving travel period, Boston 25 News reports.
The first incident happened in the morning when an American Airlines plane, while pushing back from the gate, clipped a Frontier Airlines aircraft. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.
Pilot was taken to hospital
Later that day, a tug vehicle towing an empty JetBlue plane collided with a Cape Air aircraft.
Five people were on the Cape Air plane, including two pilots and three passengers. While no injuries were reported, the pilots were taken to the hospital as a precaution.
It is expected that millions of people will travel during the weekend due to the Thanksgiving holiday.
