Mechanical failure triggers emergency declaration

The Airbus A320, en route from Istanbul to Manchester, encountered technical difficulties after entering U.K. airspace.

The aircraft issued an emergency distress signal due to a “mechanical failure.”

However, despite the issues, the flight successfully landed at Manchester Airport without any casualties.

Hydraulic system failure leads to landing gear malfunction

According to officials, the issue was linked to an open landing gear door that caused a hydraulic failure. The Airbus A320’s landing was captured on camera, revealing that the landing gear doors remained open and one reverse thrust system failed to activate.

Aviation experts explained that normally, landing gear doors should close after the gear is extended, but due to the hydraulic malfunction, this was not possible.
