Kremlin denies planned phone conversation between Putin and Erdogan

Responding to questions about the potential for a phone call between the two leaders, Peskov clarified, “There are no planned high-level contacts this week.”

He further emphasized that the situation in Türkiye is an internal matter, saying, “This is Türkiye’s sovereign matter, and we never interfere in the internal affairs of other countries.”

Peskov also addressed the rumors of a possible conversation between the leaders, stating that such discussions would not be prompted by the ongoing protests in Türkiye.

Russian president’s visit to Türkiye still unscheduled

Regarding Putin’s potential visit to Türkiye, Peskov confirmed that there is a standing invitation for the Russian president to visit, but no specific dates have been set.

“There is indeed a standing invitation for President Putin, and he has gratefully accepted it. However, the exact dates for the visit are still being coordinated through diplomatic channels,” said Peskov.
