The Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza announced that there is no hospital to accommodate the dead and injured from the attack by the Israeli army on the camp where displaced Palestinians in Rafah reside.

In a written statement from the ministry, it stated, “Ambulance teams are having difficulty transporting the dead and injured as there is no hospital in Rafah ity capable of accommodating this number of casualties.”

An announcement from the Rafah Emergency Committee stated that the Israeli army bombed the tents of displaced Palestinians in an area previously deemed “safe” by Israel, undermining the claims of Israel about finding a “safe place.”

The statement highlighted, “The massacre against displaced civilians demonstrates Israel’s insistence on continuing its murderous and destructive operations in Rafah, ignoring all international demands and decisions to cease military attacks and refrain from targeting civilians.”

The announcement emphasized the failure of the international community, particularly the United States, to take deterrent measures against Israel and enforce decisions of the International Court of Justice (ICJ), allowing Israel to carry out further atrocities in Rafah, where hundreds of thousands of displaced Palestinians seek refuge.

Calling for pressure on Israel to comply with ICJ decisions, the statement warned that “every delay brings more death to Palestinians.”

Previously, Israel had attacked the tents of displaced Palestinians in Rafah city in the Gaza Strip, where the ICJ had issued a decision to halt attacks, resulting in the deaths of at least 40 Palestinians.
