NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg meets Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in Kyiv to show the West’s continued support for Ukraine
NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg visited Kyiv to demonstrate the Western alliance’s support for Ukraine.
Stoltenberg, the NATO Secretary General, stated: “It is important to revisit Kyiv and meet with President Zelenskyy. Though the situation is challenging, it is not too late for Ukraine to prevail, and further support is underway. NATO is also taking measures to ensure Ukraine’s irreversible path back to the Alliance in the long term.”
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, who made a statement on social media platform Twitter after the meeting where actions to halt Russian aggression were discussed, stated, “155-mm artillery, long-range weaponry, and air defense systems, particularly ‘Patriots,’ are crucial. These are possessed by our partners and should be operational in Ukraine to dismantle Russia’s terrorist ambitions. The Russian military is gearing up for further offensive maneuvers. Together, we must thwart these schemes. Our partners have all the necessary resources for this.”
