Mayor of Muslim-led Hamtramck endorses Trump for 2024 US election

Ameer Ghalib, the mayor of Hamtramck, the only U.S. city with an all-Muslim government, has endorsed former President Donald Trump in the upcoming November presidential election.
Ghalib described Trump as a man of principles and stated that he believes Trump is the right choice for Americans during this challenging period in U.S. history.
“Though it’s looking good, he may or may not win the election and be the 47th president of the United States, but I believe he is the right choice for this critical time. I’ll not regret my decision no matter what the outcome would be, and I’m ready to face the consequences,” Ghalib said.
Trump shared Ghalib’s endorsement on his Truth Social platform shortly after the announcement.
