A vehicle plowed into a crowd in the German city of Mannheim, leaving at least two dead, and 25 injured. Some 15 people were heavily injured.

Police have launched an operation in the area following the attack.

Germany’s Bild daily reports that police have alerted Mannheim residents about an ongoing police operation in the city center.

According to German media reports, police have arrested the driver of the vehicle after a manhunt in the city center.

Mannheim 24 reports that at least two people have died as a result of the reported attack.

Police operations continued, helicopters were deployed in Mannheim city center after the car-ramming attack. The suspect in the Mannheim car-ramming attack was arrested, Mannheim Police forces said.
