‘Let’s stand up for Gaza’: Bolivian president calls Latin American countries to support Palestine
Bolivian President Luis Arce calls Latin American countries to unite and put an end to the ongoing massacres in Gaza
Bolivian President Luis Arce Wednesday said the need to halt the massacres in Gaza in his statement on Wednesday.
Arce emphasized that the Israeli military assaults have killed 34,000 Palestinian civilians since Oct. 7, calling on Latin American countries to act together.
“We must take firm measures against the genocide crimes committed by the occupying forces in the Gaza Strip,” Arce said in his speech.
The Bolivian president also suggested that Latin American countries should form a Bolivarian Alliance, saying: “I invite Palestine to join the Bolivarian Alliance. Let’s raise our voices together.”
As Israel continues its assaults on Gaza, it is known that the Israeli military is preparing for a ground operation in Rafah in the south of the Gaza Strip. Rafah, which Israel asserted was secure at the beginning of the war, is home to 1.4 million civilians.
There are fears that if the Israeli army enters Rafah, the death toll will increase annually.
Arce also pointed out the need to prevent an operation and invited Latin American countries to coordinate their support for Palestine.
