Kremlin denies allegations of Russia’s Starlink utilization

The Kremlin denies allegations that Russian troops are using Starlink internet terminals, which have sparked new battle between Ukraine and Russia on technology front

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov on Monday denounced allegations that Russian troops on the front lines are using Starlink internet terminals, which have given rise to a new front in the continuing battle between Ukraine and Russia on the technology front. Quickly refuting these allegations, the Kremlin said that the terminals are neither officially provided nor authorized for usage in Russia.

The Russian military is allegedly utilizing Starlink terminals “systematically,” according to the Ukrainian military intelligence agency GUR, who claim Moscow has smuggled the gadgets into the nation covertly. According to the claim, remote locations or areas where traditional communication infrastructure has been disrupted may access the internet thanks to Starlink, a network of satellites orbiting the Earth.

SpaceX founder and CEO Elon Musk said in a live broadcast on his social media site X  that his companies had seriously damaged Russia, especially with the Starlink project. Claiming to have reduced two-thirds of Russia’s space launch business, he emphasized the effects of SpaceX’s supremacy in the space launch market.

Dmitry Peskov, a spokesman for the Kremlin, stressed that Starlink is neither authorized nor operational in Russia as Ukrainian officials assert that Russian soldiers are using the terminals, which they say were obtained through “parallel imports” or smuggling, near the battle lines of Ukraine.
