Israeli Prime Minister rejects US penalties on settlers, citing uniform enforcement of laws

Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu rules out US penalties for Jewish settlers in the occupied West Bank, stating that Israel acts against all lawbreakers and does not allow exceptional measures

After Washington implemented punitive measures on a small number of Jewish settlers on Thursday, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu declared that there was “no room” for US penalties on settlers in the occupied West Bank.

According to a statement from Netanyahu’s office, “Israel acts against all lawbreakers everywhere, so there is no room for exceptional measures in this regard.”
