Israeli army uses banned white phosphorus in southern Lebanon shelling
According to reports, the Israeli army shelled the border region in southern Lebanon with banned white phosphorus bombs.
Lebanese official news agency NNA reported that the Israeli army targeted the town of Hiyam in the border region and the plain of Marcayoun district with artillery shells containing white phosphorus.
In addition, Israeli artillery units shelled the Hora area between Kfarkilla and Deirmimas with heavy artillery shells.
In a statement, the Israeli army announced that warplanes bombed Hezbollah targets and observation posts in the towns of Hiyam, Ramya and Alma al-Shaab.
