Israel says over 50 Hezbollah targets hit in Syria since Oct .7
Israel claimed to hit about 50 Hezbollah targets in Syria linked to the Iranian-backed Lebanese movement Hezbollah since the war broke out in the besieged Gaza Strip on Oct.7.
Tel Aviv’s top military spokesperson Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari during a briefing highlighted how efforts are underway to counter Hezbollah attacks that were launched in support of Hamas.
“Everywhere Hezbollah is, we shall be. We will take action everywhere required in the Middle East,” the Israeli official maintained.
The Israeli military has attacked about 34,000 Hezbollah targets in Lebanon, including 120 border surveillance outposts, 40 caches of missiles and other weaponry and over 40 command centers and leaving over 200 dead, Reuters reported citing Hagari.
Israel has threatened to ramp up the Lebanon fighting unless Hezbollah backs off from the border, seeking help from West to figure out a diplomatic solution.
