Iranian media reported that two bases of a Balochi militant group in Pakistan were targeted.

Although Iranian state media initially reported the missile and drone strikes, they didn’t explicitly confirm Iran’s involvement in the incident.

The militant group, Jaish al Adl, known for past bombings and kidnappings of Iranian border police, had its bases reportedly destroyed. While Iranian state media provided no details, they mentioned the use of missiles and drones in the attack, unacknowledged by Pakistan.

The strikes came after Iran’s Revolutionary Guards attacked targets in Iraq and Syria, claiming to target an Israeli “spy center.”

Iranian officials celebrated the attacks, highlighting their longest-range ballistic missile launch into northern Syria, claiming hits on the Islamic State of Iraq and al-Sham (ISIS) bases training Afghan Islamic State forces.

This move followed a Jan. 13 twin suicide bombing in Iran, claimed by Afghan ISIS, resulting in nearly 100 deaths.
