Alarming footage of Nazi sympathizers from far-right activists in Rome draws condemnation

On Monday, Rome saw a gathering of hundreds of far-right activists commemorating the 50th anniversary of the tragic deaths of three children. However, the solemn occasion took a disturbing turn as footage emerged, revealing the activists engaging in a deeply unsettling display.

During the commemoration, protesters were observed giving the fascist salute, a gesture reminiscent of the notorious Nazi salute, as they raised their hands to the sky. Chanting “present”, a phrase linked with fascist ideologies, the activists congregated in front of the former headquarters of the neo-fascist Italian Social Movement party (MSI).  They were also seen prominently displaying the Celtic cross, a well-known symbol associated with the Nazi ideology.
