Former U.S. President and Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump has announced that he is considering appointing billionaire businessman Elon Musk as a cabinet member or advisor if elected.

Last week, Elon Musk hosted a live broadcast with Donald Trump on the social media platform X, during which he stated that “for the good of the country, Trump needs to win the election.”

During the broadcast, Musk suggested that a presidential commission be established to improve government efficiency, and proposed that he be appointed to lead it. Trump responded enthusiastically, saying, “I would love to do that.”

Elon Musk previously supported Hillary Clinton in the 2016 election and Joe Biden in the 2020 election.
