Deadly Israeli bombardment hits UN school in Gaza, dozens killed

At least 12 people were reported killed in an Israeli bombardment on Sunday targeting a U.N.-run school housing displaced Palestinians in the central Gaza Strip, according to medical sources.
The attack struck the Abu Oreiban School managed by the U.N. Agency for Palestinian Refugees (UNRWA) in the Nuseirat, leaving dozens injured, as stated by Al-Awda Hospital.
Women and children affected
Witnesses reported that among the victims were several children and women.
Sunday’s assault on the school occurred one day after an Israeli strike on a “humanitarian zone” in the southern Gaza Strip resulted in the deaths of at least 90 people and left nearly 300 others wounded.
In defiance of a U.N. Security Council resolution demanding an immediate cease-fire, Israel continues to face international condemnation for its ongoing and intense offensive in Gaza since Hamas launched an attack on October 7.
Local health authorities report that nearly 3,860 Palestinians have lost their lives, with the majority being women and children, and nearly 88,900 others have been injured.
