Elon Musk’s X platform, formerly known as Twitter, has transferred its identity verification system to AU10TIX, an Israel-based company allegedly founded by former Israeli officials, effective August 1, 2023. This move has raised global concerns following recent leaks within the company. Questions have been raised about the handling of verified account information, which AU10TIX stores for 30 days, amid speculation about potential data sharing with Israeli military intelligence.

Claims have surfaced suggesting that user data processed on the X platform might be accessible to Israeli military intelligence. AU10TIX, which has been providing identity verification services since 2002 and developed systems used in airports and border crossings, began servicing the X platform on August 1, 2023. Users seeking verification on X are required to submit selfies and ID cards, with AU10TIX storing this information for up to 30 days.
