Türkiye’s support after floods in Colombia

Murillo acknowledged Türkiye’s critical assistance during severe flooding in the La Guajira and Choco regions, saying, “When floods and heavy rains hit, we immediately sought support from our allies and governments. Türkiye, with whom we have a strategic alliance, responded positively and swiftly during this difficult time.”

He noted that Türkiye’s Bogota Ambassador Beste Pehlivan Sun, Colombia’s Ankara Ambassador Julio Anibal, and Colombia’s National Disaster Risk Management Unit (UNGRD) worked closely to ensure aid reached those in need.
