Out of 65 deceased Azerbaijani citizens, 15 are soldiers, and other 50 are civilians, according to the statement released by the Azerbaijani Ministry of Foreign Affairs

The Azerbaijani Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in a statement issued Wednesday, announced that 65 Azerbaijani citizens lost their lives by stepping on mines in Karabakh after the second Karabakh War.

Additionally, the statement mentioned that out of the 65 deceased individuals, 15 were soldiers and 50 were civilians.

The Ministry stated that 164 soldiers and 121 civilians were also injured by mines following the Second Karabakh War, bringing the total number of casualties and injuries to 350.

The Ministry has been demanding Armenia to share the map of mines since the beginning of the cease-fire.

However, Yerevan has not responded positively to Baku’s request.

“Armenia’s refusal to share the map showing the locations of mines undermines regional security, cooperation and peace efforts,” read the Azerbaijani Ministry of Foreign Affairs statement.
