6.1 magnitude earthquake hits Indonesia’s Halmahera Island
A 6.1 magnitude earthquake struck Indonesia’s Halmahera Island on Wednesday, the GFZ German Research Center for Geosciences said.
The epicenter, at a depth of 111 kilometers (68.9 miles), was initially determined to be at 1.62 degrees north latitude and 127.21 degrees east longitude.
There were no reports of casualties or damage.
