President Erdoğan introduced the candidates for the Ankara district and announced that the election manifesto will be unveiled on Jan. 30th.

In his address, President Recep Tayyip Erdogan highlighted the notable challenges faced by the management of the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality. He pledged to undertake initiatives to restore Istanbul to its intended vision.

Additionally, Erdogan underscored Istanbul candidate Murat Kurum’s expertise in earthquake preparedness during his speech. He also mentioned that Ankara candidate Turgut Altınok would implement similar measures to enhance earthquake readiness.

On Jan. 30, Erdogan announced that the election manifesto would be made public and criticized the current Istanbul mayor. He claimed that Ekram Imamoglu is frequently on vacation and engaged in self-promotion, suggesting that he is more focused on matters outside of Istanbul.

Addressing the situation of pensioners, Erdogan assured that efforts have been made to improve their welfare. He further asserted that the opposition, which appears to only remember pensioners during election time, will be unable to sever its ties with them.
