We will never turn our backs on brothers in Gaza, says President Erdogan

President Recep Tayyip Erdogan shared a statement on his official X account regarding the ongoing crisis in Gaza on Tuesday. He reiterated Türkiye’s firm stance on standing with the oppressed and working toward peace in the region.
We are doing everything in our power to stop the massacres in Gaza, to reinstate the ceasefire, and to open the path to peace. Just as we desire peace and stability in our own country, we wish for the same in Gaza, Syria, and Lebanon.

Erdogan emphasized that the people of Gaza have spent yet another religious holiday under bombardment because of Israel’s renewed attacks.
In full view of the world, innocent children, women, and civilians in Gaza have been brutally massacred.

He noted that during recent phone calls made for Eid greetings with various world leaders, the humanitarian crisis in Gaza was a central topic of discussion.
Looking ahead, President Erdogan announced that the upcoming 4th Antalya Diplomacy Forum this weekend will also address the situation in Gaza.
We will meet with heads of state and government to discuss the genocide in Gaza and explore what more can be done to stop the oppression.

Erdogan concluded with a firm message of solidarity and defiance.
Let this be known and understood by all: While Israel tramples on human dignity in Gaza, we will never turn our backs on our brothers there.
