'We are ready': Turkish army's message for exercise Ephesus 2024

The Ephesus-2024 exercise, one of the largest planned exercises of the Turkish Armed Forces, begins on Wednesday.

The ships that will participate in the exercise – including TCG Anamur, TCG Alanya, TCG Heybeliada (F-511), and TCG Buyukada (F-512), the pride of the Turkish Navy – refueled at Aydin’s Kusadasi Port.

The Ephesus-2024 exercise, which will continue until May 30, will be held off the coast of Seferihisar Doganbey as the largest combined joint exercise of the Turkish Armed Forces.

Soldiers from the Special Forces Command are also participating in the exercise.

Minister of National Defense Yasar Guler announced that 50 countries and approximately 11,000 personnel will participate in the Ephesus Exercise in 2024 and that the Distinguished Observer Day event is planned to be held on May 29-30 which will be attended by President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

On May 22, Commander of the Turkish Land Forces General Selcuk Bayraktaroglu inspected the Doganbey Firing and Exercise Area in Izmir within the scope of the Ephesus-2024 Exercise.
