Visitor numbers to Türkiye climb by over 7% in 2024

According to the Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism, foreign visitors to Türkiye reached 47.3 million in the first 10 months of 2024, marking a 7.03% increase compared to the same period last year.

Russia, Germany, and the United Kingdom topped the list of countries sending the most tourists to Türkiye. Russia sent 6.25 million visitors, a 7.05% increase from the previous year. Germany followed closely with 6.08 million visitors, a rise of 6.43%. The UK ranked third with 4.21 million visitors, showing a significant 16.98% increase in arrivals.

In October alone, foreign visits to Türkiye surged by 9.25%, reaching 5.45 million. Germany remained the leading country in terms of the number of visitors in October, with 925,928 travelers, reflecting a 7.59% increase from the same month in 2023. Russia came second, sending 776,618 visitors, a 15.53% increase. The UK ranked third in October, with 530,586 visitors, up by 20.19%.
