The U.S. government has approved a $90 million foreign military sales (FMS) package for Türkiye, including 94 Mk 44 MOD 4 RAM Guided Missile Round Packs, three Mk 47 MOD, nine telemetry missiles, and one blast test vehicle, according to Naval News.

The deal also covers transportation, storage, and technical data from the U.S. Navy’s RAM Program Office for the Turkish Navy.

The missiles will be used on Turkish ADA-class corvettes, which already have the RAM point defense system. Initially intended for I-class frigates, the RAM system’s installation was shifted because of U.S. sanctions, leading to the use of the Gokdeniz CIWS on the TCG Istanbul.

Aselsan and Roketsan are developing the Goksur and Levent point defense systems, respectively, which are in the development phase and expected to start trials soon.
